2022 Kia EV6 Performance & Driving Range
There are few configurations for the Kia EV6’s powertrain, with a rear-wheel-drive version with a 58-kWh battery and a motor that cranks out 167 horsepower. Upgrading to the other rear-wheel-drive model with a 77.4-kWh battery increases output to 218 horsepower. There are also two all-wheel-drive versions, both utilizing the 77.4-kWh battery for power source, and one variant gets a total of 313 horsepower from two motors to accelerate to 100 km/h in only 5.1 seconds. Upgrading to the top-of-the-line EV6 GT brings larger motors capable of delivering 576 horsepower, and they get the EV6 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. You can expect around 480 kilometres of range on many of the configurations, and with an 800V DC charger, you can get from 10 to 80 percent of charge in under 18 minutes. Although that’s impressive, most drivers will use a Level 2 charger, which will take seven hours and ten minutes to recharge from ten percent to full for the models with the 77.4-kWh batteries.
2022 Kia EV6 Interior & Exterior Designs
Inside the cabin, you can expect around 27.7 cubic feet of cargo space with the second row in place, and it increases to 53.5 cubic feet with the seatbacks folded down. Overall that should be plenty to get your belongings into the cabin comfortably, and you can accommodate passengers and cargo as needed with the configurable rear seats. The exterior design is everything that many have hoped for, as it features a long yet low stance that promotes sportiness and its door handles are flush to project a statement of sophistication. As for the rear end of the EV6, it features a bold LED taillight that elegantly sweeps from one side to the other, and its hatch gives the EV6 a fastback look.
